DAMBBELL SHRUGS EXECUTION
Grab a set of dumbbells, stand tall, and allow your arms to hang by your sides ( shoulders slightly retracted) with your palms facing each other with a shoulder width apart stance ideally.

Make sure you’re back, head and neck are in a neutral position while having your elbows/ triceps locked out.
Being this is the standing variation make sure your quads and knees are locked in place while keeping your glutes contracted and core tight.

Execute by raising your shoulders toward your ears as high as possible, and then lower the weight back to the starting position in a controlled manner or I like to think of pushing the weight towards the floor.
Make sure you don’t let your shoulders take over and roll forward to get superior activation in your traps.
