đ„ STEP 1:đ PREREQUISITES OF THE MUSCLE UP

đšÂ Before understanding the dynamic and the technique of the movement, youâll need a solid foundation of strength. Pull ups and dips will be a must:
â Â (1) Itâs very important to learn how to pull yourself up explosively: make sure youâre able to perform atleast 10 explosive pull ups (try to make your chest touch the bar at each rep).

â Â (2) Once up youâll need to dip yourself over the bar, and thatâs where straight bar dips will come in hand: practice getting ateast 5 to 10 DEEP straight bar dips, with an emphasis on making sure theyâre DEEP and controlled. Itâs more difficult than you think!
When performing the muscle up, youâll most likely get over the bar in a deep dip position: you want to practice THAT sticking point to make sure to come up nicely through the help of your muscles.
