Leg press – is a basic exercise (using the hip, knee and ankle joints) exercise for the leg muscles in a simulator at an angle of 45 degrees, which consists in flexing / unbending the knee joint, which is under the weight of the platform. The platform is lowered and raised with the help of the mechanism-sled. Another version of the leg press is the classic one, when the athlete is pushing away from the platform located horizontally.
👉🏻 Exercise 1: Leg Press
✅ Place Feet High And Shoulder Width.
✅ Perform 4-5 sets: 10-15 reps.
👉🏻 Exercise 2: Smith Machine Lunges.
The list of Muscles in the exercise includes:
- Targeted – quadriceps;
- Synergists – big gluteus, adductor, soleus;
- Dynamic stabilizers – the muscles of the back of the thigh, the gastrocnemius;
- Stabilizers – extensors of the spine, anterior tibial, middle / small gluteus, square muscle
- Of the lower back, obliques.
