✅ Ok I see this exercise being performed everyday at the gym, yet nobody seems to do it correctly. Most people think that the inly way to hit triceps is to keep the grip super narrow, but that couldn’t be any more further from the truth.
✅ Not to mention the fact that by keeping an extra narrow grip, under load, for a long period of time can excessive stress on forearm muscles.. boom, that’s how you get elbow pain.
✅ When you want to perform the CGBP (Close Grip Bench Press) it’s important to keep your grip at shoulder width. You don’t need to make it any narrower.
✅ Keep your forearms aligned with your wrists, vertical and perpendicular to the bar. Not only is this safer (which means it allows you to progress with the exercise at a faster rate by avoiding injuries) but it’s also a much stronger grip to train with.
Yes your triceps will grow, don’t worry about that.
