🔴 TRICEP PUSHDOWN
🚨 Another old school drawing of mine that might help you guys out. Hopefully.
✅✅✅ On the left, the right execution of a tricep pushdown: standing upright with a small inclination forward of the torso. The upper half of the arms stay attached to the torso, angled to the ground (not perpendicular). The back is neutral and not overly extended, and the core braced.

Now, to maximize tricep recruitment, only the lower half of the arms has to move. Elbows might come a little forward through the repetitions, as the cable goes up, but as long as it’s not too much, that’s completely fine.

❌❌❌ On the on the other hand, the classic gym bro who goes for the whole stack without even knowing how to properly perform the exercise. Because the load is too heavy, his shoulders spike up and internally rotate during each rep. This becomes more like a weird-cringy-shrug, and besides giving close to zero tricep gains, it can definitely cause some form of shoulder injury in the long run, so make sure not to do that.
Form over everything. Mostly for health purposes, but also because only by learning how to perform the exercises correctly you’re able to strengthen and develop the working muscles.
