Why are glute activation exercises helpful?
Many of us, including myself, do not fully engage the glutes while doing exercises that are meant to build them. The other muscle groups take over and the glutes lag behind. Try adding these exercises before you do your leg day. Concentrate on feeling your glutes during these. Wall clams: keep your both feet flat against the wall, focus on squeezing your glutes! Do 3 sets of 15. Please do both sides. Single leg bridges: squeeze your glutes prior to lifting into the bridge. Do 3 sets of 15!
